As an artist and a full time designer it can be challenging to find time or the mental space to create personal art. I have loved drawing and painting since I was a little girl. Once I became a professional designer I also stopped creating as much personal art.

"Veronica Can Draw" is a passion project I started in 2025 to get back to my roots. As an artist I sometimes have insecurities that my personal art is not "good enough" to share with the world. The name of this project plays on that insecurity and in a way makes fun of it. It helps remind me that no matter how much time goes by I can always get back into my creative roots.

This series of drawings represent things and experiences that are dear to my heart. I love playing with bold colors, patterns and textures. I'm inspired by nature, food and people I love. As well as artists like Marian bantej and brands like Marimekko and Anthropologie. ✨ Etsy shop coming soon ✨

Illustration name: Banananana

My entire life I have been obsessed with bananas. I eat them literally every day. I find them really beautiful and they always remind me of summer days, laying on the sand by the red sea as a child with my family and eating bananas together. For this drawing I decided to pair it with some flowers to create a fun composition that lands itself well to patterns as well.

Illustration name: Strawberry Lemonade

I absolutely love strawberries and lemons. Of course drinking strawberry lemonade is a summer must (I should mention summer is my favorite season), however drawing lemons and strawberries is something I always loved doing. Putting them together gives my heart joy. I mixed my favorite patterns of dots and lines into most of my art and for this illustration it worked perfectly.

I love drawing flowers. Roses and Sunflowers are my favorite however all flowers bring a smile to my face.

Honey bear is an illustration dedicated to the love of my life, my husband. We got married about a year ago and I always call him my honey bear.

Growing up by the Mediterranean Sea I inhaled lemons most of my childhood. They have become a must have at my household until today. I put lemon on everything and I just can't live without them.

Something that every person in my life knows about me is that I LOVE traveling to Hawaii. I have been to all of the Hawaii islands with my favorite being Maui. I love the ocean and the fish and the beautiful plants and flowers of Hawaii. In some ways I like calling Maui my second home. I also used to play in the Red Sea as a child and being in Hawaii, seeing all the beauty and feeling the sun on my skin takes me back to my happy place.

I have been a cat person my entire life. I just think they are so cute and adorable and although I have not owned a cat since I was a teenager they still have a very special place in my heart. This next illustration is dedicated to my dear childhood cat Cici. It is a portrait of the two of us.
